Future Plans
Salud Partners will make a Medical mission trlp to the Tarahumara in Cuchiverachi December 1 - 8, 2012.

The threat of danger and difficult travel prompted cancellation of our August trip but conditions have improved and the road is more secure.

Timo Hernandez, who coordinates Salud Partners activities in Mexico, reports that teachers will be in Cuchiverachi for the fall semester. The dormitory is back in use and he plans to work on completing the bathrooms and showers.

Medical supplies, light winter jackets, two treadle sewing machines and cloth will be delivered to the people.

We hope to find a Tarahumara couple to act as dorm parents, mentor students and supervise maintenance of the dorm building. They will oversee the orchard and chicken and rabbit nutrition projects and start a demonstration vegetable garden.

Salud Partners is planning a medical clinic, a village meeting and a women's health program. Blessing Boxes will be distributed to children.

Salud Partners will provide leadership, ground transportation from Albuquerque, NM, or other approved location, lodging and meals. If you'd like to participate, please provide personal items, work clothes, a sleeping bag and pillow, passport and photo ID, and a servant's heart.
